Trump Slams Putin as “Completely Mad” Over Massive Airstrikes in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing disappointment in his recent actions. Trump's remarks have raised questions about a possible deterioration in relations between the two leaders.

According to a BBC report, on Saturday, Russia launched its largest attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the war. On Sunday, May 25, Trump called Putin “crazy” in response to the assault.

Trump also warned that if Moscow attempts to take full control of Ukraine, it could lead to Russia’s downfall. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“I always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin, but something has happened to him. He’s gone completely mad!”

He further added, “He is killing many people for no reason — and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being launched into Ukrainian cities without any justification.”

Trump reiterated his belief that Putin aims to seize all of Ukraine, not just a part of it. “If he does that,” Trump stated, “it will lead to the collapse of Russia.”

According to a Reuters report, Russia carried out its most extensive missile and drone attack in a single night on Saturday — the biggest aerial assault of the ongoing war.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported that from around 7 PM local time on Saturday, Russia launched a record 367 strikes, including missiles, UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), and drones.

Officials confirmed that at least 12 people, including children, were killed in the attack.
